I am a first time home buyer and I learned so much from Denise. She is very personable and listened enough to know exactly what I was looking for. She was NOT in it to just make a sale, she truly cared about what I wanted. There were a couple of houses that we looked at that were not a good fit and she spoke up before I did. She was was with me the whole time, getting me every detail about each home that I requested. I wasn't sure on how to negotiate the offer and she gave me her insight and taught me so much. Denise was both willing to listen to our input as well as make good suggestions when we first signed a listing agreement. Having not sold a house for many years, we were concerned about what we might not know that would be necessary to maximize our return on this effort. Denise clearly is very knowledgeable about the industry and the central Indiana market. We had tried to prepare our home so that it would show well. She agreed that we had done a nice job of it and made a couple of minor suggestions. The biggest problem was that we listed it in November, but that was when we were ready to do so. Denise remarked at the time that we were entering the slow season for residential real estate and that we might see only minimal activity for a couple of months. She was exactly right. She was always very optimistic, however, that we would get it sold. And as March hit, the activity rose considerably. We had numerous buyers in for second showings and even after a pending/accepted offer, had to turn away appointments for follow up showings. She kept us informed when the buyers were slow in responding. Denise then worked diligently with the buyer's agent, communicating back and forth about things from inspection issues, to counter proposals and ultimately helped put together an accepted offer that put us above what the meket comps suggested would be a selling price for our home. We were very pleased, as was the buyer. Everyone was happy. Denise and her counterpart, eared their commissions, as the buyers were inexperienced and required a higher than normal amount of "guidance". We would certainly use Denise for future needs and highly recommend her and Remax.
